SHC helps neighbors find safe, stable housing throughout the Charlotte community. By building relationships with local landlords and providing ongoing, personalized support, we help individuals overcome barriers to housing and create a foundation for long-term stability.

Finding a home isn't always easy, especially for individuals with limited or challenging rental histories.
SHC works with local landlords to help neighbors access housing opportunities they might otherwise be unable to secure. We advocate on behalf of our neighbors and build trusted relationships with property owners to create opportunities for stable, community-based housing.
SUPPORT BEYOND HOUSING
Helping Neighbors Thrive at Home
Securing housing is just the beginning. SHC's Support Services team works alongside each neighbor to establish personal goals, navigate challenges, manage disabilities, and build greater independence.
We also support positive landlord relationships by helping neighbors understand and maintain their lease responsibilities. When SHC holds the lease, we fulfill the organization's obligations directly.
Our holistic approach helps neighbors not only find a home, but maintain the stability needed to move forward.
