HOUSING PROGRAMS
Rapid Rehousing
Helping individuals and families move from homelessness toward lasting housing stability.
SHC helps neighbors find safe, stable housing throughout the Charlotte community. By building relationships with local landlords and providing ongoing, personalized support, we help individuals overcome barriers to housing and create a foundation for long-term stability.
A Pathway to Stable Housing
Supportive Housing Communities' Rapid Rehousing Program helps individuals and families experiencing homelessness transition into privately owned rental housing throughout Mecklenburg County.
Established in 2015 as part of SHC's Scattered Sites Program, Rapid Rehousing combines access to housing with supportive services designed to help participants build independence and achieve long-term stability.
Helping Neighbors Thrive at Home
Securing housing is just the beginning. SHC's Support Services team works alongside each neighbor to establish personal goals, navigate challenges, manage disabilities, and build greater independence.
We also support positive landlord relationships by helping neighbors understand and maintain their lease responsibilities. When SHC holds the lease, we fulfill the organization's obligations directly.
Our holistic approach helps neighbors not only find a home, but maintain the stability needed to move forward.
